Research perspectives on the photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide: Catalytic assessment methods in solution and solid-state in relation to particle surface activity

A range of prepared titania nanoparticles were characterised by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), CPS Disc Centrifuge, Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Scanning Micrographs (SEM), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Fourier Transform Infrared Measurements (DRIFTS). In addition, the activities different catalysts determined via rapid assessment methodologies like Microwave Dielectric Spectroscopy (MDS), Hydroxyl content, Phosphorescence Chemiluminescence Isopropanol Oxidation Test data related to actual weathering properties pigments doped in metallocene polyethylene under dry humid conditions. Quantum size effects, which lead high areas blue shifts diminish electron–hole recombination, are used explain nanoparticle products. situ FTIR OH content determination show presence contents hydroxyl groups large amounts adsorbed water on TiO2 nanoparticles. The Centrifuge results BET area combined with XRD particle that a careful distinction between crystal aggregate sizes must be made order properly interpret activity pigments.
